Andy Shanks and Chums head back to California in October. This year joining Andy will be Peter Cameron on fiddle and singer songwriter Gifford Lind. Folk superstar Christine Kydd may also be heading west too. It will be great to see old friends and write new songs about this fabulous country.

Back to the Pittenweem Arts Festival

The Cave at Pittenweem

Songs from the Cave returns to Pittenweem for another year. Andy and Gifford and King Creosote and The Pictish Trail will be back writing and performing songs during the first week of August. A CD of the songs written from last year will be available for sale. Songs from this year will be collected for next year's CD.

Bluestones Songwriting Project

Peterhead Rock School

Andy is involved in a new Songwriting venture with the Peterhead Rock school. 20 lucky young people will be sponored by the Arts Council to be taught how to write and perform songs over a three month period.
